The retail spaces for i.am.it — the prêt line by Amit Aggarwal — were designed across two locations: the ground floor store at The Dhan Mill (725 sq ft) and Gurgaon. The brief was to create spaces that felt less like retail formats and more like experiences native to the brand.
The design draws its language from wardrobe systems, coat checks, and dry cleaners — environments where garments exist in continuous motion rather than on static display. Here, display is not an object but a condition: embedded into the architecture, unfolding through movement, uniform lighting, and a system of racks and installations that guide the body through the space.
Pipes run like exposed veins — shaping both the structure and the spatial narrative. Raw, utilitarian materials lend the store a directness that sits in quiet tension with the refined nature of what it holds.
The result is a retail space that resists the expected. Browsing becomes something more personal — closer to retrieving, returning, or rediscovering — where the act of shopping dissolves into experience.
